Transport agents T&Cs

Here is a summary of our terms and conditions and full details of our T&Cs.

T&Cs Summary

  1. Scope of Service: Agent must not undertake work for customers that is not booked through the portal. Similarly, agent must undertake all work through own vehicle and drivers and never outsource it.

  2. Use of Engineius App: Engineius APP must be used on all movement jobs for legal and insurance purposes.

  3. Service Levels: Agents commit to delivering all movements on time (min is 90% of jobs delivered on time)

  4. Rate and Payment: £35 call out fee + £1.30 per mile (<1.7T) + £1.35 per mile (1.7t to 2.6T). Paid via Bank Transfer weekly, 2 weeks in arrears.

  5. Cancellations: £18 for cancellation occurring 18-3h to collection times, full fee for aborted jobs (<3h).

  6. Photo and damage collection: Agent must take all photos required at pick up and drop off to protect themselves and Engineius against any false damage claim.

 

Full T&Cs

This Service Agreement (“Agreement”) constitutes a legal agreement between an independent company or individual (‘Agent’) in the business of providing vehicle Movement Services (as defined) and Vehicle Movement Exchange UK Limited (trading as ‘Engineius’), a private limited liability company established in the UK, having its registered and Head Office at Engineius HQ, Alpha Works, Alpha Building, Suffolk St Queensway, B1 1TT, England. It incorporates Engineius’ Terms of Use (which can be found on our portal).

Engineius Commits To:

1.      Providing Agent with access to vehicle movement jobs via the Engineius software platform at portal.engineius.co.uk

2.      Providing Agent with use of Engineius’ desktop and mobile SaaS application that facilitates vehicle movement, including job searching and matching, job management inboxes, job tracking, and payment administration. The Agent must use the Engineius app to complete all movements.

3.      Paying Agent for vehicle Movement Services, in line with this rate matrix

  • £35 call-out fee

  • £1.30 per mile (<1.7T)

  • £1.35 per mile (1.7t to 2.6T)

4. To reimburse the Agent for all additional expenses (e.g. toll roads and ferries) at the cost incurred; all expenses must be submitted to Engineius within 24hrs of completion of the movement

Agent Commits To:

1.      Executing all the vehicle movements accepted by Agent using the Engineius portal and mobile application (‘Jobs’) in line with the job instructions and details (‘Instructions’).

2.      Making all efforts to meet the Instructions, despite external variables (e.g. traffic conditions)

3.      Not cancelling any Job unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances

4.      Minimising all additional costs incurred whilst completing Jobs: Engineius will only authorise and reimburse for costs that are absolutely necessary to complete movements (except where they are authorised in advance by the Engineius Operations Team)

5.      Providing and maintaining its own appropriate insurance cover, where Agent has registered such insurance on the Engineius portal to cover jobs undertaken by Agent

6. Agent will confirm total mileage and / or time travelled within 24hrs of completion of the movement, with accompanying backing data (journey traces or time stamps) and reports on any damage

7. Agent will undertake each job by means of own vehicle and agents. Outsourcing of jobs is strictly not allowed. If agent is found in infringement, we reserve the right to instantly remove it from our network and portal.

It Should Be Noted That:

1. Scope of service: The Engineius portal is “full and final” in terms of defining vehicle Movement Services provided by Agent to customers referred by Engineius – Agent must not undertake work for such customers that is not booked through the portal and cannot charge Engineius for work not booked through the portal under any circumstances

2.      Use of Engineius App: The Engineius mobile application must be used to track all movement jobs for legal and insurance purposes. Agent must obtain the prior approval of an Engineius employee before moving a vehicle without using the Engineius mobile application. Where this approval is not obtained, the movement is no longer done under contract with Engineius, is undertaken at Agent’s own risk and Engineius will be under no obligation to pay for the movement

3.     Service Levels: Agents commit to delivering all vehicle movements agreed in accordance with the timings booked in the Engineius system for the respective job. The minimum expected service level is 90% of movements delivered on time, with the remaining 10% delivered no more than 1 hour later than the specified latest delivery time

4.      Rate and payment: Engineius agrees to pay agents an agreed rate for the provision of covered transported vehicle movement in line with agreed Rates matrix.

5. Cancellations: If a customer cancels a job, no fee applies if communicated with at least 18h notice to the earliest collection time. A flat fee is charged for cancellation occurring 18-3h to collection times, whereby agents receive £18. Finally, the full abort charge applies for cancellations taking place at -3h to collection, whereby the agent receives the full fee for the job.

6. Photo and damage collection: Instructions on amount of photos and part of the vehicle will be included on each individual job page. Agent must take all photos required at pick up and drop off to protect themselves and Engineius against any false damage claim.


Prestige/Covered Agent Addendum:

Engineius will offer the Prestige/Covered Agent work where deemed necessary. Where Engineius requests a covered transported vehicle movement for the national recall of high-value vehicles,

Prestige/Covered Agent commits to every movement being:

  • Purpose built Covered resource,(ensuring that  the vehicle being transported is not visible in transport)

  • Super low-angle recovery (given low ground clearance of vehicles)

Other movement requirements

  • Prestige/Covered Agent commits to taking clear photographs of all parts of the vehicle (including each wheel) and highlighting any visible damage to the vehicle before and after loading and moving the vehicle

  • Prestige/Covered Agent must use the Engineius mobile application to complete each movement; this includes but is not limited to:

    • Updating their status in real-time (e.g. arrived at site)

    • Taking photos of the vehicle as per point #6 above

    • Allowing GPS tracking of the movement

    • Capturing the customer/dealership signature to handover the vehicle at each end of the movement
