What do you love most about the job?
I love that I get to travel to different places, sometimes to scenic locations, and meet different people, which is exciting and refreshing.
As a self-employed driver, the flexible hours allow me to create a schedule that works for me around my other commitments.
How do you ensure you deliver vehicles on time?
The trick is to always plan ahead and allow more travelling time than normal as road conditions can change without warning.
What has been your best experience with Engineius so far?
The Ops team has always been helpful and polite when I have called for assistance. It feels like you're talking to real people.
How many miles do you do on average a week?
It varies but I'd say about 500 miles.
What do you think are the secrets behind getting to where you’ve got to?
PLANNING.. plan your route beforehand to minimise unnecessary stops and optimise your time on the road. Utilise GPS or navigation apps to find the quickest routes and avoid traffic.
TIME... manage your time effectively by setting realistic delivery goals for each vehicle and prioritising deliveries based on deadlines and customer needs.
What drives you to succeed in this job?
I'm driven by a strong internal drive and motivation to excel in my work, and the potential for earning competitive wages, incentives, or commissions based on performance.
Do you reconcile your jobs and expenses on a regular basis?
Yes, I reconcile my jobs and expenses regularly.
What are you most excited about this year?
This year I'm excited about advancements in vehicle technology, such as electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous vehicles, and improved navigation systems, which could streamline delivery processes and enhance the driving experience.
There may be increased demand for vehicle delivery services, providing more opportunities for drivers to stay busy and potentially earn more income.
