Driver of the Month: July 2024

Congratulations to our Driver of the Month, Tom Morgan (TWM Movement) 🥳

Tom has been with Engineius for almost 2 years and has completed over 150 movements! His hard work and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we are thrilled to celebrate his well-deserved recognition!

We are grateful for all your hard work and for our two other categories winners, Barrie and Stephen Parsons-Loades.

Tom Morgan 🏆

What do you love most about the job?

I like that I am able to pick and choose jobs that suit me and my schedule.

Also, it is a nice feeling when people are pleased to see you because you are delivering their vehicle.

How do you ensure you deliver vehicles on time?

I always try to leave enough time in the job, so if there are problems, it doesn’t affect the job too negatively.

What has been your best experience with Engineius so far?

Driving my first electric car - it was the Kia EV6.

I’m a real petrol head, so most of my friends just don’t understand, but I think they’re great to drive.

How many miles do you drive on average a week?

It’s hard to say really, but a minimum of 500 miles and sometimes over 1000.

What do you think are the secrets behind getting to where you’ve got to?

I don’t think there are any secrets. I just think that a desire to do something to the best of your ability will drive you on.

My wife also helps me a lot with planning my jobs, so I suppose you could call Mrs Morgan my secret weapon.

Do you reconcile your jobs and expenses on a regular basis?

Absolutely! My wife and I run a few different kinds of businesses, so it's really important to stay on top of everything.

What drives you to succeed in this job?

My cars are my hobby, so it seemed right to blend the two together.

I’m a transport agent too, so rather than having a trailer or recovery truck sat there doing nothing most of the time, it just made perfect sense to earn money with them.

What are you most excited for this year?

Hopefully doing more work with my truck.

What makes Engineius a special place to work?

The way that it caters for all levels of drivers. By that I mean if you need help with planning jobs, transport planning, then support is available for you.

Alternatively, if you are the kind of person that likes to plan things yourself and just crack on then that’s fine too.

What is the best advice you can give other drivers?

Don’t put yourself under unnecessary pressure by not planning jobs properly.

Don’t make promises you can’t keep.

If you hate what you are doing, do something else because you won’t do it properly if you hate it.
