Driver Of The Month: May 2022
🥁… We are very excited to announce Alex Stokes as our Driver of the Month!
Alex was chosen for this month’s award due to his willingness to always help out our Ops team and go the extra mile by completing every job to an exceptionally high standard.
Both Engineius and our customers can’t thank you enough for your hard work! 👏
Alex has driven everything, from small compact cars to large vans. However, there is a particular Range Rover he loved driving most on one of his movements. What could it be?

What do you love most about the job?
I enjoy travelling all over the country and discovering various places I’ve never been to before.
It’s fun driving all types of vehicles, from small compact cars to large vans.
No day is ever the same which is important to keep the job interesting!
How do you ensure you deliver vehicles on time?
Planning planning planning.
I always plan my day the night before to make sure there are contingencies in case there are any hiccups along the way.
What has been your best experience with Engineius so far?
I absolutely love driving certain prestigious vehicles for various customers.
I wouldn’t have the opportunity to drive such cars otherwise, so being able to do so as part of my job makes it worthwhile.
The Range Rover Sport SVR has been one of my favourites! 🙂
How many miles do you do on average a week?
It varies really… It can be anything from 500 to 1500 🛣️
What do you think are the secrets behind getting to where you’ve got to?
Enjoying what I do.
I’ve always loved driving, so being able to do it for a job is great.
Travelling is also a passion of mine, so combining the two together is really a win-win.
Things don’t always go to plan, but as long as you take it in your stride and do not let it affect you too much, you’ll continue to do well at Engineius.
What drives you to succeed in this job?
Learning new things and continually improving myself in the role.
Hitting targets and deadlines is a big thing for me. I’d like to be known as a competent and reliable driver in the company, that can be called upon when required 🎯
Do you reconcile your jobs and expenses on a regular basis?
Yes! Definitely try to keep on top of things as you’re the one that will lose out if not.
I run over my expenses and jobs at the end of each week to make sure everything matches up.
What are you most excited about this year?
It is breath of fresh air to see the world slowly getting back to normal and everyone being able to get on with things.
It’s been a tough few years for everybody and I'm grateful for having been able to assist and work throughout the pandemic with Engineius 😊
What makes Engineius a special place to work?
Flexibility.
Being able to pick the hours and days you want to work is very beneficial when you have other commitments, so you can really mould the job around you.
What is the best advice you can give other drivers?
Plan your day by looking at the travel time, routes, etc.
Contact customers prior to arrival. A simple phone call the day before or in the morning can go a long way! 📞
