Employee of the Month: Sofia Filipe🎉

Congratulations to Sofia Filipe, our new Service Delivery Team Leader, who has been awarded Engineius’ Employee of the Month! 🥳

We recently caught up with Sofia, who lets us know her summer playlist for 2022, shares with us an inspirational quote, and unpacks her favourite way to unwind after a busy day.

What do you do for Engineius?

I am a Service Delivery Team Leader, which entails overseeing our internal operations to ensure we deliver a market-leading service to our customers and suppliers.

It’s my job to make sure everything runs smoothly, for example, proactively monitoring multiple tasks, foreseeing issues, prioritising urgent requests and taking action ahead of time.

What motivates you to do well in your role?

I am the type of person that loves when things go as efficiently as possible.

As long as I am helping the company with this, that’s all the motivation I need.

In a rapidly growing business like ours, it’s important to be adaptable to help the business run smoothly.

That's why I love working for Engineius, as growth is always in mind and there's so much potential for change! 👍

What Spotify playlist do you listen to in the car the most?

Well, as the weather has been especially lovely recently, I have been listening to Summer Bangers on Spotify - it lifts my mood every time ☀️

What do you like most about working for Engineius?

Many things (obviously), but I mainly just love the culture and how everyone is so passionate about what they do.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

It’s either between binge-watching on Netflix, or playing on my Nintendo Switch.

I enjoy playing silly games on there like Animal Crossing and a puzzle video game called Unpacking.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

I recently read a brilliant quote (author unknown!):

“Escape your mental limitations. Don’t spend your life being imprisoned by a belief system that limits your potential and prevents your dreams from coming true” 💭

Describe one thing you've learnt in your role?

Time-keeping is really important.

Working for Engineius includes a lot of tight deadlines - whether that’s in the office or working as an Engineius driver.

Being efficient in a timely manner positively impacts other stakeholders in the businesses, and is key for helping Engineius scale ⏱️

What’s the most useless talent you have?

I have a really good picture memory.

This is actually a useful talent as I can remember any face or location - my only issue is that I can never remember anyone’s names or know how to get to these locations!
