On the Road: Naser Mahmood

Meet Naser Mahmood, our Network Lead, who has completed several movements for the business since joining back in November 2021. He usually manages all email traffic that comes into the network department, but this month Naser left his day job to embark on a sunny journey to Bridgnorth.

Discover more about Naser’s movement experience below and make sure to check out his interesting fact a-bout (🥊) himself and the stunning historic location he wants to visit.

Tell us more about what you do at Engineius?

My key day-to-day responsibility is to manage all email traffic that comes into the network team, handling a variety of requests from both our internal and external customers.

What did you do before Engineius?

Prior to Engineius, I was in the volatile energy industry as a Collections Team Leader.

How did you find the trip overall?

I enjoyed the movement a lot as it broke up my week from being in the office every day! 😉

What did you enjoy most about your trip?

I loved being able to meet the customer face-to-face and having that interaction. It’s so important. Though the best part for me was when I was on the train home - knowing I’d done a good job.

Is there a location in the UK that you would like to travel through on your next job?

Cheddar Gorge. It’s been on my hit list for a while. For those that don’t know, it’s a beautiful limestone gorge in the Mendip Hills in Somerset. It’s also where Cheddar Man was discovered in 1903.

What is your dream car?

Volvo XC90… It’s probably pretty boring to some, but having the wife and kids in a brand new XC90 whilst en route to the Lake District is the dream 😊

An interesting fact about yourself?

I briefly boxed as an Amateur for Birmingham City ABC. My first fight was in Chigwell, Essex, in a Police Sports and Social club with over 700 people. It was an England v Scotland theme that night, and I fought a Bulgarian from Scotland! 🥊

Any further comments?

I’m definitely going to continue conducting movements for the business when I can. If you’re a driver and are looking to manage your own work and time (and travel to some great places) - get in touch.
