Car Washing Procedure

As a live driver in our network, you might have already or will need to wash the customer vehicle.

Step-by-step Process 🧽

  1. Check that the car wash gives the correct type of evidence so you can successfully expense it. 

  2. Ensure that the car wash provider is near the drop-off location. 

  3. Pause the move when conducting a car wash (the category is “valet”). Expenses will not be accepted if the move was not paused.

  4. Secure your evidence for expense submission 

  5. Take a picture of the cleaned car both at the car wash and at the customer site upon delivery.

Cleaning Service Fee 💷

What is the cleaning service fee? 
You will now receive a £3.75 flat rate for carrying out this service which has been requested by the customer. 

How can I get the cleaning service fee?
Once you have completed the car wash as per the supplier's request, log it by using the expense line “Cleaning Service Fee”  - this is in addition to logging the cleaning cost expense using the expense type “cleaning"

By doing this you will receive your £3.75 as payment as well as the expense incurred when cleaning the vehicle. 

Please note: the cleaning service fee will not be paid if the job isn’t paused whilst conducting the car wash. The pause function category for a car wash is “valet”.

Payment, evidence, and process

What is acceptable evidence?
 
Preferred and safest option
The receipt must clearly show the date, time and goods purchased. Alternatively, if a receipt isn’t given upon completion, we can accept a written invoice receipt from the car wash vendor detailing the amount paid and the date. 

Alternative option 
If you find yourself at a jet wash dispenser either by supplier request or because no other car wash provider is available near the customer site, please take a picture of the jet wash dispenser detailing the prices and photographic evidence of the cleaned car. We do not accept images of a car wash price board.

If a receipt cannot be obtained, please look for alternative car washing providers. 
 
How much should I spend on a car washing service?
 It should not exceed £20.
