1. Collections at Gefco

  • Go to reception and give them the vehicle registration. They will provide you with the key and tell you which load lane the vehicle is at.

  • Always conduct a walk-around visual inspection before you start taking photos.

  • Any damage or missing loose items MUST be reported back to Engineius.

  • Every vehicle will have a Shell charging card - do not leave without this.

  • Take all required photos as highlighted in step 3.

  • Check for vehicle warning lights, if any they need to be corrected before leaving site. If the site are unable to resolve, ONTO will look at a replacement vehicle.

  • After 90 minutes on site at Gefco, the job will be aborted unless ONTO have found a replacement vehicle.

  • If less than 65% charge at collection call through to Engineius on 0121 281 7710

2. Deliveries

Delivery to a customer:

  • Ensure vehicles are valeted inside and out on ALL deliveries.

  • Take all required photos as highlighted in step 3.

  • Vehicle must be charged over 60% on delivery.

  • Photographing Driving Licence to validate end customer identity is critical because it’s used to validate their legal agreement with our customer.

Delivery to Gefco Site:

  • Vehicle must return back to site with no less than 30% charge.

  • No need to wash vehicle when returning back to a GEFCO site.

  • Take all required photos as highlighted in step 3.

3. Photo Requirements

Take ALL required photos as detailed in the above Onto Photo Guide. This includes photos of the vehicle exterior, a photo of each wheel alloy, and photos of the vehicle interior (seats & footwells).

  • Photos should contain the entire part of the vehicle in question (e.g. entire vehicle must be shown when taking a photo of the near side of the vehicle).

  • All photos of wheel alloys should be taken square on from wheel level, not from an angle.

  • Vehicles are expected to be in pristine conditions and as such all damages and blemishes must be captured and reported.

  • All loose items are of high value and therefore critical to record and take photo. If we do not pick-up on missing loose items, we leave ourselves open to any redress costs. Click here to find where they will be in the vehicle: Location of All Loose Items

  • We use 2 sets of photos (at collection and delivery) to defend against claims of damage. Without 2 good sets of photos, we effectively open ourselves to repair costs that we are not culpable for.
