Collective Benefits continues to support Engineius drivers
Engineius understands the importance of protecting its network of over 500 self-employed drivers. As a result, we partnered with insurance platform Collective Benefits early last year to create Engineius Plus, our driver rewards programme, to improve their everyday lives.
Collective Benefits’ mission is to build a protections and rewards solution fit for self-employed workers, helping to reduce risks and increase perks so they feel secure and valued. Engineius drivers have access to a range of these ‘bundles’, including time off work, wellness, mobility, and other perks and benefits.
Each bundle includes a number of products within it, from compensation for accidental death or disablement and mental health support, to rewards which save time and money where it matters, including childcare support and phone insurance.
Calum Slowther, commercial director for Engineius says: “We’re have been delighted with Collective Benefits so far in providing our self-employed network protections typically reserved for full-time employees
“Many independent workers have been pushed into financial hardship due to this pandemic, so to provide best-in-class reward options and the financial safety net for those that need it most makes Collective Benefits the ideal people-first business partner”.
One of our drivers, Chris Cowley, said: “The Engineius Plus scheme is great. Having that added security is not something that is usually accessible to self-employed workers, so it’s something I am very grateful for.
“Having protections such as sick pay, compassionate leave and paternity pay available gives me peace of mind in the event I have to take time off work, and the discounts to help with my weekly shops go a long way. Also, having access to things like tax advice are, for me, essential in my first self-employed role”.
We also spoke with Anthony Beilin, CEO of Collective Benefits, who commented: “We're really thrilled to be partnering with Engineius to protect their driver community. We've teamed up to provide their drivers with all kinds of benefits and protections, from sick and injury pay, to family and compassionate leave, to mental health support and everyday savings.
“It's great to see that the programme is already making a difference where it matters: helping their drivers feel more financially secure and making them feel valued for all the fantastic work they do.
“Engineius cares deeply about their drivers' wellbeing and has been with us every step of the way, working together to build a bespoke programme of protections that exactly meets their drivers' needs. We're delighted with how amazing the response has been so far”.
Calum continues: “We understand that supporting our drivers is extremely important, especially during Covid-19, where mental health and finances have been impacted more than ever before.
We will continue to expand the scheme further to look after our drivers who look after our customers, and help make the world of vehicle movement a better place”.
