Engineius is pleased to announce Marian Ene as our Driver of the Month for November - congratulations, Marian! 🎉
Not only is Marian one of the coolest drivers we have in the network, but he is also one of our most organised, and constantly takes on adventurous jobs and completes them with ease through his great work ethic. His solution-based philosophy allows each movement to be an effortless process every time!
So, well done Marian from all the team, as well as our satisfied customers, and we can’t wait to continue our work together! As always, we asked our winner a few questions about his approach to work and how he’s finding it so far.
What do you love most about the job?
I love driving and getting to experience a range of different cars. One of my biggest passions is to travel, and this job really allows me to do this! It’s also great meeting different people every day - I always have nice conversations with them and it’s nice to have that company after spending a few hours on the road! 😄
How do you ensure you deliver vehicles on time?
If there is one thing that I have learned from Engineius, it’s planning the night before! For me, this is the key and it’s always important to have a plan B as things can always change. I also make sure I keep the customers informed on my ETA - it helps me maintain strong communication with them, even if you are delayed by something unexpected.
What has been your best experience with Engineius so far?
It is hard to pick one experience, but I am surprised that I have managed to meet so many kind people. All are very nice and they even offer me drinks or snacks, as well as lots of other nice gestures!
How many miles do you do on average a week?
To be honest, I don’t calculate how many miles I drive but if I was to make a rough estimate, I would say I drive anywhere between 900 - 1000 miles a week.
What do you think are the secrets behind getting to where you’ve got to?
The secrets to getting this award need to go to the best manager: Mr. Stephen Chalkley! He’s helped me a lot and in the same time, he’s got a great attitude and a nice character. Top chap!
What drives you to succeed in this job?
I am an ambitious person and when I like something I try to do the best I possibly can. I also like to make people feel good, so with my service, I aim to not disappoint!
Do you reconcile your jobs and expenses on a regular basis?
Yes - I am old school, so I keep them on my notes app on my iPhone.
What are you most excited for this year?
I am grateful that my family and I are healthy. Everything else is a bonus.
What makes Engineius a special place to work?
I would like to thank the operations team, Monty and Stephen especially for helping me. Our good communication makes Engineius a special place. P.S… In the future, I’d love to meet more people from this special team!
What is the best advice you can give other drivers?
The best advice I can give is to empathise with people. We have a phrase in Romania, it translates to: “Be human“.
