Employee of the Month: Bilal Mohammed🎉

Congratulations to Bilal Mohammed, our newly promoted Senior Planner, for being awarded Engineius’ Employee of the Month! 🥳

Bilal is a hugely valued member of the team and has been given May’s prize due to his dedication and commitment to his role and having a can-do attitude 💪

No rest for the wicket as Bilal lets us know how he likes to unwind after a busy day, and is Bilal’s useless talent actually useless? You can be the judge… 👇

What do you do for Engineius?

I pre-plan routes for 60 of our full-time contracted drivers on a daily basis.

On the day, it is my job to ensure their movements are fulfilled within the customers’ time frame ⌛

What motivates you to do well in your role?

A chance for progression!

This is something Engineius definitely offers as I have recently been promoted and become the business’ senior planner.

It’s motiving to know that I am making a difference and helping push the company forward week on week.

What Spotify playlist do you listen to in the car the most?

It can depend on the mood I'm in, but I'd say house music mostly.

What do you like most about working for Engineius?

Firstly, the business is expanding rapidly. It is probably one of the busiest transport companies I have worked for.

Every other company I’ve been in have been much smaller in terms of drivers and customers.

I am going back to the progression side of things, but I think it’s great that anyone who joins the company right now has a brilliant opportunity to progress within Engineius 📈

Also, as I’m local, it’s very convenient for me that the office is based in the centre of Birmingham.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

It would have to be playing cricket - especially on the weekends.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

It was finding out the strongest muscle in your body is the masseter, your jaw muscle.

Who knew? You learn something new every day.

Describe one thing you've learnt in your role?

Make sure you're always aware and ready for the day because anything can happen.

You might have a quiet day and all in the space of a few minutes it can be hectic, in a good way!

So always be ready and learn to be adaptable 👍

What’s the most useless talent you have?

I’d probably say waking up before my alarm goes off.

It’s handy on some days, and annoying on others!
