Carrington Flex-e-Rent

It was my first day back at work after the Christmas and New Year break.. fresh start.. feeling positive.. New phone day, and an icy January morning. Determined to make the most of it, I set out early from my home address heading to Carrington, hoping to catch the sunrise and capture some stunning shots.

After arriving to Flixton station I started my short walk to pick up, I was rewarded with a spectacular view as I was walking the straight run. The frost on the grass shimmered green and silver & the sunrise was perfectly reflecting off the flooded field, for a moment, it felt almost apocalyptic, otherworldly would be the word! I paused, chuckled to myself, and thought, This is what life’s about! seizing the day and soaking in moments like this! I took out my phone and captured the moment.

As I admired the scene, I noticed a faint streaks across the sky and realised I may have caught a shooting star in the frame.. It felt like the perfect start to the year…

But my dreamy morning walk soon turned into a reality check 😂 Just five minutes down the road, the same flood I had admired decided to humble me. With no way around it, I was faced with the icy water, laughing at how quickly my transcendent experience came crashing down to earth..along with my once very soggy shoes 🤦‍♂️
