Using Slow Chargers and Overstay Penalties

When charging EV's, you should only use a Slow Charger (7kw) if the battery is very low on power and there are no better alternatives within range.

In these instances, only charge up to a level that will get you to nearest working Rapid Charger site.

Slow charging units can take over 8hrs to fully recharge a battery, so unsurprisingly customers will not pay that amount of Charging Time.

Any long Charging Time claims for this reason will be rejected.

On the subject of lengthy Charging Times, please note that some sites have Overstay Penalties.

Overstay Penalties are there to ensure that other users can access the charging unit within a reasonable time.

Please be warned that at some site, they can kick in after a mere 45mins (typically between 45mins to 90mins).

Be sure to check out Overstay Penalties before you walk away from the vehicle, as any penalties incurred will be driver's liability.

Thank you for your attention.
