Engineius offers digital vehicle movement as a "plug in service" as online car retailing booms

Billions of pounds are spent in the UK each year within the automotive industry, and yet the vehicle movement industry has been largely ignored by large scale investment. That is until Engineius launched its tech-focused offering in 2018.

18 months of in-depth market research highlighted that vehicle logistics required a leading facilitator of efficient, effective and secure vehicle movements in the UK. To better connect customers with driving solutions, the Engineius platform and accompanying app was developed by a team of automotive professionals with a wealth of experience who recognised the need for innovation in the vehicle logistics industry.

Engineius, with a network of over 500 drivers, now offers a vehicle delivery service that replicates the digital experience end-users have come to expect and enjoy from the world’s leading companies such as Amazon and Uber.

Clients can book, track and manage vehicle movements online and in one place. Booking a movement takes just 30 seconds, and Engineius can handle any vehicle movement, whether transported or driven across the whole of the UK. Every movement has a full audit trail including photos, GPS tracking and timestamps and can all be monitored live online.

With online vehicle purchasing for both new and used cars enjoying unprecedented sales, Engineius' emergence is timely. Engineius enables traditional dealers the means to offer home delivery in the same way tech-focused models such as Cazoo and Cinch do. Dealers are also using Engineius to purchase vehicles directly from consumers, with real-time photo reporting allowing the dealer to remotely appraise potential purchases like never before.

These efforts to delivery greater efficiencies to the vehicle movement sector through technology have been recognised and in 2021 Engineius has been awarded the Best Innovation in Fleet Management Award by Company Car Today.

Our ethos is to make vehicle movement easy, and in the fleet industry this has removed much of the headache from the fleet manager and also provides them with detailed bespoke reporting on all of their movements.

Calum Slowther, commercial director Engineius says: "In the past, there was no way of checking whether a vehicle is en route or whether it's in a customer-ready condition to be delivered. With the use of technology, those issues are instantly removed.

"Today’s customer, in business or at home, demands a slick process where they feel in control from the point of order to delivery, whether it is the weekly groceries, a book or their new car. The Engineius system offers exactly that level of transparency and efficiency for a purchase which for most consumers is their second biggest financial outlay after their home”.
