Ian Smith named new operations director at Engineius

Engineius has appointed Ian Smith as its new operations director.

The role will involve overall responsibility for service delivery to customers and scaling of the supplier network to enable Engineius’ ambitious growth plans..

He joins the business from motor finance company Oodle, where he worked for over two years establishing their direct-to-consumer operation.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ian on board,” said Calum Slowther, Engineius managing director. “Ian has vast experience in the automotive industry, and he will be a key member of the new senior management team we’re putting in place to accelerate our growth”.

Ian’s appointment comes less than a month after that of Andrew Wyatt as its finance director, the first of several senior arrivals.

“Ian brings a unique blend of experiences to Engineius. He has worked in the vehicle movement sector as an entrepreneur and supplier, as well as operating as a customer with Oodle. His combination of technology and logistics experience is very hard to find”.

Commenting on his new appointment, Ian said: “I’m very excited to be joining the young and ambitious team at Engineius. The company has made a great start and I’m looking forward to building on that”.

“My mission is to ensure Engineius customers feel the same confidence and control when using Engineius to deliver vehicles as they would doing so in-house. We’ve got the tech to do it, now we need the operational discipline and robustness to take us to the next level”.

“There are exciting times ahead, and I look forward to getting to know the team and working with them to deliver the company’s ambitious goals”.
