Account Executive
We are looking to fill a new Account Executive role with immediate effect. The London-based Commercial team includes our Commercial Director, Business Development Manager, Customer Success Manager, National Sales Manager and Marketing Manager. The rest of the company (business is c.35 employees in total) are based in Birmingham.
The workload of the team is ever-increasing, as order volume rise by around 40% every quarter. The team’s main objective at present is to onboard new customers, and keep existing customers happy and growing. You will be key in helping the team make this happen in a variety of ways on a day-to-day basis.
We’re very open to totally different profiles for this position. You might be a graduate who wants a quick start to their career in the commercial side of the business world. Alternatively, you might have experience elsewhere already but want a faster-paced environment and a new challenge.
This role will be fast-paced and needs a self-starter who can manage their own workload and shifting priorities day to day. You will be an early employee joining a rapidly scaling business that has the potential to be a true market leader. You will be well-positioned to move into a senior role ahead of your tenure based on the impact you directly make on the business.
Customer Service Specialist
We are looking for a highly motivated Customer Service Specialist to join our Customer Service team in Birmingham.
You will be part of a small, growing and highly motivated team with daily responsibility for all areas of our operation, focusing on making the best use of our national network of drivers and transporter agents.
Although you’ll spend a lot of time on the phone, this is not a ‘call centre’ type role: it is more varied, and also more demanding. You will be responsible for ensuring that hundreds of vehicle movements per day are fulfilled on time and in full. You will be deploying jobs to drivers using our technology and your route-planning skills to help your decision-making. You will be spotting any problems ahead of time and proactively keeping our customers happy. Alongside that, you will be constantly developing relationships with both our drivers and our customers by being their first port of call and helping them.
Driver Network Lead
We are looking for a diligent, motivated and resilient Driver Network Lead to join our growing operations department.
Working as part of our network team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our self-employed drivers are meeting the standards that our customers expect on each and every job. This will involve raising standards generally using all the tools at your disposal to increase supplier satisfaction, as well as feeding back to individual drivers directly. It will also mean ensuring that all drivers are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
This is a new role created in response to volume growth, so you will have the exciting chance to shape its precise boundaries and responsibilities.
Lead QA & Release Engineer
As we are in our ‘growth phase’ you will be joining this expanding IT team and we have reached the point where QA & release now needs a dedicated resource, you will be the first hire in this role. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, enjoys the vibrant nature of a start-up-like environment, and is focused on helping us to build our platform; adaptable to change, and keen to help in our overall vision.
You’ll need to be happy rolling up your sleeves and getting into manual testing, planning out a strategy to implement automated testing, and work alongside our DevOps engineer to deliver this, while also managing the test queue, release schedules, and reporting. We’re still a small team so there is a lot of cross working and helping each other out, we’re focused on making great things and delivering for the business. Based in our Birmingham Office, we are located in the heart of the city centre. We work remotely and when Covid is more under control we’ll look to have office days if you like an office environment you can be in more as the rules allow.
Senior Administrator
Are you an experienced administrator looking for an exciting new challenge in a rapidly growing business? We are looking for a Senior Administrator to take a key role in our rapidly growing Operations department. You will need to be someone who enjoys change and variety in their work, but at the same time has fierce determination to get the details right. We are a technology company, so you’ll also need to enjoy working with new computer systems and lots of data.
You will be ensuring that our customers’ orders are processed correctly, that our drivers are paid on time and in full, and that everything our drivers need to know is correctly displayed on our Engineius logistics software.
You’ll be following existing processes by the letter, but also devising new ones as new customers come online. Engineius is growing volumes and gaining new customers every month, so coming up with these new processes will be a constant challenge to enjoy.
Generally, you will be working on our Engineius software ‘portal’, but you’ll still be dealing with emails and phone calls from customers too. You will need to enjoy customer service, because this will be a customer-facing position.
No two days will be alike – because you’ll be working every day in a thriving and successful operations department. It will be lively, but really rewarding.
