QA Engineer

We require a talented automation engineer to join our growing in-house Software development team to ensure the ongoing reliability of our web and mobile application.

The QA engineer role will play an important part in our company’s product development process. As the first member of the team in this role, they will be a self-starter with proven experience to implement a fully automated testing process and populate this framework with automated tests while being responsive in manually testing deliverables from the dev team. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress within the role longterm to a Test Lead and work alongside a first-class development team.

We are building out our test pipeline within the overall application CI/CD process. We are very strong on automating processes and infrastructure/documentation as code, always aiming to follow industry best practice. Our new QA Engineer will be leading this process working alongside our DevOps engineer.

Our office is based in Birmingham, but this role will be fully remote to start with and over time as the situation allows, we will hold monthly/fortnightly team meetings in the office. If they like being in an office as circumstances allow the option will be available.

Shift Manager

We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and goals-orientated Shift Manager for our Customer Service Team in Birmingham.

You will be part of the management team responsible for overseeing our internal operations to ensure we deliver a market leading service to our customers and suppliers. Guided by the Customer Service Manager, you will lead, manage and motivate a team of office-based Vehicle Movement Specialists to meet the company’s goals and objectives.

You will be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the quality of the Customer Service Team’s performance when you are on shift. You will help solve any issues, complaints and enquiries while keeping customer satisfaction at the core of every decision. You will need to ensure that all jobs are deployed in a timely manner to our network of in-house trained drivers and agents, while maintaining costs within the agreed system pricing structure. You will be required to react real-time to the day’s demands and juggle your team’s priorities accordingly. In addition, you will have the chance to embark on initiatives to improve working processes and procedures.

You will ensure that the Customer Service team meets the company’s objectives, both short and medium-term, by maximising productivity and quality of output within the team, and by motivating your staff to achieve their goals.

Vehicle Movement Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated Vehicle Movement Specialist to join our Customer Service team in Birmingham.

They will be part of a small, growing and highly motivated team with daily responsibility for all areas of our operation, focusing on making the best use of our national network of drivers and transporter agents.

Although they’ll spend a lot of time on the phone, this is not a ‘call centre’ type role: it is more varied, and also more demanding. Our new Vehicle Movement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that hundreds of vehicle movements per day are fulfilled on time and in full. They will be deploying jobs to drivers using our technology and their route-planning skills to help their decision-making. They will be spotting any problems ahead of time and proactively keeping our customers happy. Alongside that, they will be constantly developing relationships with both our drivers and our customers by being their first port of call and helping them.
