Jack, our Marketing Manager, joined the team in August and is dedicated to enhancing the overall experience of our drivers, which is why he recently embarked on a journey to understand a day-in-a-life of a driver.

Tell us more about what you do at Engineius?
I am the Marketing Manager here at Engineius. My role varies between projects, but the main objective is to ensure the Engineius Brand is on point and that it represents exactly what we stand for, and that’s to make vehicle movement easy!
How did you find the trip overall?
It was awesome! It was my first movement, so It was a bit scary to drive a car I had never driven before, but I adapted quickly.
It also gave me the opportunity to visit Derby, a place I haven’t been to since I graduated from University 😁
What did you enjoy most/what was the best part about your trip?
Weirdly, driving a brand-new car with heated seats and a heated steering wheel. It was absolutely freezing, as you can see by the pictures, so jumping in to get the journey started and placing my hands on that steering wheel was bliss. The simple things!
Is there a location in the UK that you would like to travel through on your next job?
Yes, and those who work with me on a regular basis or anyone who knows me will know why I am choosing this place…
It's St Andrews, Scotland. I may have to opt for a stay-over movement, though. FORE! 🏌️
Any further comments?
From a Marketing perspective, it was great for me to do this movement as it allowed me to understand our supplier journey from searching, to booking a movement and finally completing it.
It has certainly given me some food for thought.
What is your dream car?
Tough question! I have a few, but I have always loved Aston Martins. They look so slick, so with that, I will go with the Aston Martin Vantage.
An interesting fact about yourself?
I am so competitive to the point where I have multiple, and I mean multiple tallies on my phone notes with what the sport, game or activity was, who against, the current score and what the forfeit is.
To date, I have won a homemade pizza board, cupcakes, and a canvas portrait 🎨
What did you do before Engineius?
I was a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist working on multiple projects across EMEA.
