Changes to supplier availability feature 📱
The Supplier Availability function allows Engineius to understand when a supplier is available for work and when they will be offline. Unlike the previous version, you will now be required to actively manage your availability days, with the system defaulting to Unset until you have updated My Schedule. Previously, the system had defaulted to Available which resulted in a blanket approach by us when directing jobs as we had no means of understanding if the supplier was truly available.
The new version will default to Unset and by toggling availability, it will then give us full confidence on legitimacy of availability.
NB We will treat Unset days in the same manner as Unavailable so please be sure to keep your availability updated or you run the risk of missing out!
Why are we doing this?
As we grow and volumes increase, it is increasingly difficult to see the “woods from the trees” when searching for work. We will shortly be releasing a new Alerts feature that will provide suppliers with another method of finding work. Below is recap of the search methods available
Matched to you: This is the broadest filter, driven entirely off the postcodes selected within the search function. Potentially many suppliers will default this to entire UK as a means of seeing all the jobs on the portal.
Direct to you: Based upon your availability, we will notify you of jobs which we think may be of interest to you. Typically, these will be jobs that start or end within a set proximity of home.
Job Alerts: A new feature that will allow suppliers to configure their searches, based on time and locations (with ability to set multiple Alerts). By allowing drivers to be specific, it will allow us to highlight your ideal jobs to you as soon as they come online.
The Job Alerts feature is in it’s final stages of development and we will communicate in the near future when the functionality is available for use.
